Thank you for the reminder that selling is about developing the "long term relationship".
I have personally developed a fun way to know who I should be calling today (outside my normal sales pipeline). What I do is take 10 minutes each morning to meditate (quiet my mind). Then using my Business Intuition, I become aware of my client base with my intention on "who can I help today". I write down the first three to five names and make sure that I call them.
The contacts are usually very timely and have proven to be very profitable.
